WWE News: Sting does not think his match with Undertaker will happen
When 'The Icon' Sting made his WWE debut two years ago, many thought that the dream match between him and the 'Dead Man' Undertaker would finally happen.
Two years later, with Sting's Hall Of Fame induction and Undertaker's rumoured retirement match at WrestleMania 33, the possibilities for this dream bout to happen do not look so bright anymore.
The former World Champion recently made an appearance on the Dallas Cowboys' Talkin' Cowboys show. Among other things, the WCW Icon also revealed his thoughts on the chances of having a match with the Phenom.
Sting, who made his WWE debut at Survivor Series 2014, announced his retirement from pro wrestling during his Hall Of Fame induction speech back in April this year. Here’s a video of his Hall of Fame induction speech:
During his latest interview, he was asked about the possibilities of an in-ring return. Replying to this, the former WCW Star reiterated his words about wanting a match with Taker but said that he didn’t think it would happen:
"You know what, I always wanted that Undertaker match. I think wrestling fans it's a dream match for them, it's a dream match for me too, but I just don't think it's going to happen."
The former United States champion has spent more than three decades in the world of professional wrestling and is considered to be one of the greatest wrestlers in the history of the business.

Due to his illustrious career, many would think that becoming a pro wrestler must have been a childhood dream for the former WCW and TNA star. However, talking about the time he was first approached to wrestle, he revealed that he knew nothing about the business:
"When I was approached about pro wrestling, I didn't know what it was. Some big guy used to come into the gym that I owned and managed, people would freak out [and say] 'Do you know who that is?' It was Hulk Hogan."
Sting is widely known to be one of the best wrestlers in the history of WCW and in the history of professional wrestling as well.
Due to the similarities between him and his WWE counterpart, The Undertaker, in terms of both appearance and popularity, a match between the two is considered to be one of the most anticipated dream matches in pro wrestling history.
Although with Sting having announced his retirement and now with the Undertaker also reportedly wrestling his last match at WrestleMania 33 against John Cena, it appears that this dream bout will remain an unfulfilled desire for all wrestling fans.
