Stone Cold Steve Austin sends an emotional message; CM Punk reacts with one word to heartbreaking post

Stone Cold Steve Austin is probably one of the biggest names in wrestling to ever enter a WWE ring, but the star has received a response from one of the modern greats, CM Punk. The legend sent out an emotional post, and Punk has reacted to it.

Stone Cold has retired and has focused on life after wrestling. While he still makes one-off appearances now and then for WWE, the star has mostly focused on his own physical fitness, racing, his ranch, and his cats. In a post-wrestling life, Stone Cold has found himself with things to do, and the star remains very busy.

In an emotional post on Instagram, The Texas Rattlesnake paid tribute to his favorite dog, who died a long time back. He spoke about her in a heartbreaking post on his social media. He appears to be missing her and posted a picture with her.

"Throwing it back to my favorite dog of all time, Hershey the Wonder Dog. I bought Hershey from my hunting buddy in South Texas around 2005. She went everywhere with me. Whether it was drinking Bloody Mary’s flying back and forth from LA to the Broken Skull Ranch in Tilden, TX. Riding around in a buggy, or hunting with me and finding my deer, or jumping up when she heard the sound of car keys so she could go with me, wherever I was going. Or making a drive by when I was recording my podcast. She was the definition of man’s best friend."

CM Punk responded to the post as well. Known for his love of dogs and his dog Larry, Punk responded with a simple one-word message, saying "Hershey!!!!" celebrating the dog's life that Stone Cold had shared.

CM Punk and Stone Cold Steve Austin is a dream match for fans

While the two stars never crossed paths during their careers in WWE, they have interacted in interviews in the past. Both of them are great on the mic, and for many fans, a match between the two stars remains a dream bout that they would like to see.

With Steve Austin clearly moving on in his career, it seems unlikely that such a match will happen. However, odder things have happened in wrestling, so it's not totally impossible.
