"Stupid decision!!!" - WWE champion unhappy after first loss in 7 months on SmackDown

A current WWE champion recently took to social media to send a message after his first singles loss in over seven months on the latest edition of Friday Night SmackDown. The name in question is the current Speed Champion Andrade.

On this week's episode of the blue brand, Andrade locked horns with Santos Escobar to determine the number one contender for LA Knight's United States Championship. For the most part, the 34-year-old took control of the match but during the final stages of the bout, Carmelo Hayes came out to distract Andrade. Hayes succeeded in his mission and helped Escobar take the win.

This marked the current WWE Speed Champion's first singles televised loss since he returned to the Stamford-based promotion at the 2024 Royal Rumble.

Following the show, Andrade took to X (formerly Twitter) to send a message and highlighted that it was his first singles loss in seven months. The 34-year-old also sent a warning to Carmelo Hayes and wrote:

"First loss in a singles match after 7 months in [WWE]. You ruined it!!! [Carmelo Hayes] NiƱo!!!! Stupid decision!!!" he wrote.

Andrade and Carmelo Hayes are in a heated feud in WWE

After participating in the 2024 Men's Money in the Bank Ladder Match, Andrade and Carmelo Hayes have been in a heated feud. The duo have already locked horns on two occasions on Friday Night SmackDown with the current Speed Champion emerging victorious in both bouts.

During an edition of Sportskeeda Wrestling's SmackTalk, former WWE manager Dutch Mantell gave his thoughts on the duo's performance inside the squared circle during the July 19, 2024 edition of the blue brand.

Mantell said that Andrade and Carmelo Hayes had great chemistry inside the ring and mentioned that they put on an incredible performance.

"They [Andrade and Carmelo Hayes] had great chemistry and good timing. They didn't rush it; they told a story, and I really liked this match. They did it well. I don't think you can do a TV match better than that. You might do one as good. But this was textbook, and they did a great job," he said.
