Surprising career path pitched for CM Punk post WWE
A WWE Hall of Famer recently pitched a surprising career path for CM Punk following his in-ring career. The Second City Saint will be squaring off against Drew McIntyre once again next month at WWE Bad Blood.
Speaking on Busted Open Radio, wrestling legend Mark Henry claimed that CM Punk could be a successful coach after his time in the ring comes to an end. The World's Strongest Man noted that the 45-year-old was a good teacher and could succeed in the role once he was done in the ring.
"100%. Moves right in, seamless, not a problem, good teacher, has command of the people that he works with and being a locker room guy is more than being impartial and being level-headed, sometimes it's being able to push the button ... everybody can teach, it's just are you an effective teacher in your style, you know the curriculum that you write, like is it a structured curriculum? Is it something that every single person does exactly the same thing, or do you teach everybody differently? Like Punk can teach everybody differently, but he also I think could stand to a structured curriculum," said Mark Henry. [H/T: Wrestling Inc]
CM Punk will be facing Drew McIntyre in a Hell in a Cell match at Bad Blood on October 5. The veteran will also be serving as the Special Guest Referee for the NXT Championship match between Ethan Page and Trick Williams when WWE NXT debuts on the CW Network on October 1.
WWE star Drew McIntyre reveals why he dislikes CM Punk
WWE RAW Superstar Drew McIntyre recently detailed his disdain for CM Punk ahead of their Hell in a Cell match next month at Bad Blood.
Speaking with Sportskeeda Wrestling's Bill Apter in an exclusive interview, The Scottish Warrior opened up about why he does not like Punk. McIntyre claimed that the former AEW World Champion was a liar and only cared about himself.
"Hypocrite. Liar. Taker. Likes to put on a facade like he's trying to help people when he's really just trying to help himself, and if you doubt me just look at the mountains of evidence that are available through people's testimonies." [0:17 – 0:34]
