"Talk about backstabbing, Ric Flair was the best at that" - Former WWE star makes accusations

Ric Flair has been in the news recently, levying accusations at WWE. He has questioned the current management, specifically about how things are being run. This has led to one former WWE star bringing up his own set of accusations against the Nature Boy.

The former star in question is Dutch Mantell. Mantell, who previously worked as a manager in WWE, is a good friend of Ric Flair's. However, he doesn't seem to see eye-to-eye with Flair's most recent opinion.

For context, Flair recently suggested that he isn't a fan of how his former protege, Triple H, has run things in WWE. He claims that the company has become too political. This prompted Mantell to retort on his podcast, Story Time with Dutch Mantell, stating that companies like WWE have always been political and that jealousy and backstabbing are a common occurrence.

He even went so far as that backstabbing is something that Naitch is no stranger to:

"Anytime you have any kind of group that has creativity at its core, you're gonna have a lot of jealousy...you're gonna have a lot of backstabbing. Talk about backstabbing, Flair was the best at that. They wanted to push somebody to work with Flair...Flair would sometimes just turn it down." [1:55-2:24]

These are harsh words from Mantell, but ones that many would agree with. It would be interesting to hear what Flair has to say about this.

Ric Flair is interested in doing more physical spots with AEW

Ric Flair may not be with WWE anymore, but he has made several appearances on AEW. He has been involved in a lot of physicality since making his presence known in the company.

This seems to have lit a fire in Flair. Fightful Select has reported that the six-time World Heavyweight Champion has actively requested to participate in more physical spots. Still, he is unlikely to be considered for an in-ring return.

It's great to see the Nature Boy back in action, albeit not in his ring attire. Nevertheless, wrestling fans around the world will undoubtedly be looking forward to seeing more of him on TV.
