Teddy Long praises two WWE stars after "tremendous and outstanding" match (Exclusive)
Teddy Long has witnessed hundreds of wrestlers rise through the ranks during his four decades in the industry. In recent weeks, the WWE Hall of Famer has been particularly impressed by Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill's tag team partnership.
On June 3, Belair and Cargill defeated Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark via disqualification on RAW. The finish saw Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn attack Belair moments before she looked set to pin Stark.
Long appeared on Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Time Machine with legendary reporter Bill Apter and host Mac Davis. The former on-screen authority figure had nothing but good things to say about Belair and Cargill's presentation and in-ring ability:
"I'm gonna talk about the match that I saw last night was just tremendous and outstanding, and I'm talking about Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill. Brother, did they look good or what? These two women are absolutely great. They look great, their work in the ring is great," Long said. [1:45 – 2:03]
Teddy Long also liked that Baszler, Dawn, Fyre, and Stark joined forces to attack Belair and Cargill. He believes the post-match segment allowed the Women's Tag Team Champions to look strong due to the numbers' game being against them:
"The one thing I saw last night that they did that I thought was right, at the end they did the run-in, they usually send down two people to beat up the people. You know what I mean? Two people shouldn't come down and beat up Bianca and Jade. That ain't right. And they sent four girls down. That's what I like. How you gonna outdo that? You know what I mean? You got two people going up against four, so that makes sense to me," Teddy Long continued. [2:04 – 2:33]

Teddy Long compares AEW and WWE's booking
Host Mac Davis believes AEW's women's division lacks the same excitement that exists in WWE right now.
Teddy Long agreed with Davis, adding that people in AEW know how to book but opt not to prioritize women's wrestling in the way WWE does:
"It's because the WWE know exactly what they're doing and AEW have people over there that knows exactly how this goes too, but they're just not doing it." [2:51 – 3:01]
Belair & Cargill will defend their tag titles against Baszler & Stark and Dawn & Fyre at Clash at the Castle on June 15.
