"Thank you everyone" - WWE star finally breaks silence after huge SmackDown debut match; makes emotional statement and says what's next

Fans finally saw an immense debut on WWE SmackDown last week. Now, the star has spoken up, breaking his silence.

The Motor City Machine Guns are one of the biggest tag teams in wrestling history for their start. Having started with Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin teaming up back in 2007 in TNA, they have wrestled all over the world and have finally come to WWE. They were welcomed to the company by Nick Aldis and then Triple H.

In a very emotional video on X, Alex Shelley finally broke his silence after his debut and said that he had not posted anything sooner because of a busy week, but he knew that he needed to post and thank everyone who had supported him so far in his life. Captioning the post as, "Thank you everyone," he started:

"I shied away from posting for a little bit because it's been a busy week. I knew I had to make this video. It was something I wanted to do; I wanted to express gratitude to everyone who supported me throughout not just my pro wrestling career but my life - that's friends, that's co-workers, that's family - you don't necessarily have to be a blood relative to be family. But we did it."

The star went on to thank everyone, saying that his dream had come true, and he could finally call himself a WWE Superstar—something that had been a long-time dream of his.

"And what I was able to accomplish last Friday night on SmackDown was a dream come true. I can now say I am not just a physical therapy technician, I am not just a strength and conditioning coach, I am not just a friend or a brother, or a punk rocker or an artist, but now I'm a WWE Superstar. To be able to verbalize that has a very, very deeply profound sense of power here," Shelley said.

He went on to say that now, the hard work began for him. What was next was that he would have to work hard, but he thanked everyone again and said that he could not have done it without the support.

The Motor City Machine Guns are about to get a chance to make an immediate impact in WWE against the Bloodline

Not only did the Motor City Machine Guns debut on SmackDown, but the team will also get the chance to make history by almost immediately winning the Tag Team Championship. They are going to face DIY this week in the finals of the tag team tournament.

The winner of the match will then face Tonga Loa and Tama Tonga of the Bloodline for the tag team titles.

Should they win, not only will it be historic, but it will be massive for everyone involved.
