"Thank you guys, and I love you" - 27-year-old top wrestler makes heartbreaking announcement about needing immediate neck surgery at event
A top wrestler has made an announcement at a huge event about needing immediate neck surgery. The star has also confirmed that it's legitimate and not a work.
Steph De Lander (FKA Persia Pirotta) has been a regular on TNA recently. The ex-WWE star has been involved in a storyline surrounding her "romance" with PCO and Matt Cardona's reaction to it. However, there was some bad news for fans at this week's big TNA Victory Road event.
The 27-year-old wrestler had something heartbreaking to share. She said that she had been dealing with neck issues and needed neck surgery. She clarified that she was not retiring and was not done yet. She thanked fans and hugged PCO to say a temporary goodbye.
"This isn't a retirement speech because I'm not done yet. I have more to give to this business. I have more to give to this company. And I have more to give to each and every one of you. This, this is not goodbye, this is, I'll see you later. And until then, thank you guys, and I love you," she said.
Steph De Lander went on to send a post out saying that the news was very legitimate.
"Yes this is real. Please don’t message me if I hate you! See y’all in a few ✌🏼 @ThisIsTNA," the star wrote.
Fans and commentators were distraught for the wrestler as she was escorted out in a heartbreaking moment.
