"That could bring her back" – Hall of Famer discusses what might entice AJ Lee to return to WWE (Exclusive)
AJ Lee has been away from professional wrestling for quite some time, and many fans are eager to see her return to WWE. Teddy Long revealed that he feels the same way, while legendary wrestling journalist Bill Apter discussed what the company could do to bring her back.
The former Divas Champion was last seen on the fallout episode of RAW after WrestleMania 31, where she teamed up with Naomi and Paige, now known as Saraya, to take on Natalya and The Bella Twins in a six-woman tag team match in a winning effort. After her husband, CM Punk, returned to WWE in November last year, it gave many fans hope that Lee would follow him and return to the company, but that has yet to happen.
While speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling's The Wrestling Time Machine podcast, Bill Apter stated that he would like to see AJ Lee in WWE again, and he thinks she could come back if Triple H gave her a good offer.
"I think the fans are dying for her (AJ Lee) to come back. She was great when she was in the business. We don't know what she'll—if she comes back she's got to be physically and mentally ready and I don't know her current situation or anything, I haven't been in touch with her. I've talked to Punk but I think if they make a good offer and there's a great angle, that will bring her back in," Bill Apter said. [20:36 - 21:03]
Former SmackDown General Manager Teddy Long stated that he too would be in favor of AJ Lee coming back to WWE:
"Yes, I would [like to see AJ Lee back in WWE]. I met her when I was there before she ever married CM Punk so I had the opportunity to work with her. What a nice person too, real nice lady and great attitude and everything. Yeah, I think it's time for her to come back, she didn't leave on no bad terms and they didn't bury her before she left. So, I think right now she'd be a big asset to them." [19:36 - 19:58]

Many people who retired from professional wrestling ended up returning to WWE, including AJ Lee's husband, CM Punk.
