''That is my goal'' - 37-year-old star wants WWE to recognize him and his previous work

Former WWE Superstar Enzo Amore has revealed his goals for the coming years. The 37-year-old was a part of the Sports Entertainment juggernaut between 2012 and 2018.

In January 2018, Enzo Amore was abruptly fired from the Stamford-based company when he was in his second reign as the Cruiserweight Champion due to sexual assault allegations. However, the case was later closed due to insufficient evidence. The 37-year-old star has since wrestled for promotions such as NJPW and MLW.

In an interview on Wrestling Shoot Interviews, Amore revealed his goals for the coming years in professional wrestling. The former Cruiserweight Champion hoped that WWE would honor his body of work in 2025 by giving him a place in the alumni section as a ''bare minimum!''

"My goal, by the time it's 2025, I hope that you get to sing it along with me and spell it out with me. By the time we look at 2025, I hope that somewhere in the annals of WWE history that I will be recognized once again and join the alumni section, bare minimum. That is my goal," Amore said. Enzo Amore was once removed from a WWE arena

Enzo Amore and Big Cass were organically over as a tag team in the Stamford-based promotion during the mid-2010s. After they failed to make an impact on the main roster, the two stars went their separate ways, and Amore captured championship gold.

However, it all came crashing down for the star when he was fired from the promotion. The former Cruiserweight Champion spent a few months away from wrestling before oddly re-emerging on WWE TV.

In November 2018, Enzo Amore attended the Survivor Series Premium Live Event in California. During the event, he tried to gain attention with his antics and was eventually removed from the show and was banned from attending any live events for the company.

However, this was under the previous regime, and there's no information on Enzo Amore's current status in the Triple H-led company. It'll be interesting to see if he returns to the Stamford-based promotion in the coming years.
