"That's pretty crazy" - Motor City Machine Guns reflect on their WWE debut ahead of a match with major implications
On this week's Friday Night SmackDown, The Motor City Machine Guns made their highly anticipated WWE debut. Following their impressive win, Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin reflected on their debut.
Over the years, Sabin and Shelley have established themselves as one of the best tag teams in professional wrestling. They are former three-time TNA World Tag Team Champions.
In their WWE in-ring debut tonight, The Motor City Machine Guns defeated A-Town Down Under (Austin Theory and Grayson Waller) and Los Garza (Angel and Berto) in a Triple Threat Tag Team Match.
On SmackDown LowDown, Sabin discussed The Motor City Machine Guns' debut and their upcoming showdown against DIY.
"It's pretty surreal. I'd like to say it's a dream come true, but it's more than that. This is a goal accomplished for us. It might have taken over 20 years to get here, to get to this position, but being one match away from being number one contenders for the WWE Tag Team Championships? That's pretty crazy. Just saying it out loud kinda blows my mind a little bit," said Sabin. [H/T Fightful]
Alex Shelley believes The Motor City Machine Guns will win the WWE Tag Team Championships
Alex Shelley also discussed The Motor City Machine Guns' debut, claiming that he and Chris Sabin look forward to facing DIY.
Speaking on SmackDown LowDown, Shelley apologized to DIY in advance by claiming he and Sabin are the best tag team.
"We take things one step at a time, but DIY is exactly why we came to WWE. Exactly why we want to declare ourselves the best tag team on the planet, because we beat all the great tag teams that already exist in the WWE Universe. So I apologize to you in advance DIY, but you're looking at the next WWE Tag Team Champions." [H/T Fightful]
Shelley and Sabin will face DIY on next week's episode of WWE SmackDown, with the winner earning a shot at The Bloodline's tag team championships.
