"That's where Roman is gonna be" - WWE legend gives major prediction about Roman Reigns' return after The Bloodline's actions on SmackDown
Roman Reigns has been absent from WWE since losing his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship to Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania XL. A Hall of Famer now believes The Tribal Chief's character would be entirely different upon his comeback.
In Reigns' absence, Solo Sikoa took over The Bloodline, kicking out Jimmy Uso and adding Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and Jacob Fatu. Last Friday, he demanded that all Bloodline members acknowledge him as their Tribal Chief. Although Tonga, Loa, and Fatu did, Paul Heyman refused to acknowledge Solo. In response, Sikoa and his associates destroyed The Wiseman and put him through the announce table.
During a recent episode of the Busted Open podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry claimed Reigns would return to get revenge on the new version of The Bloodline for what they did to his Wiseman.
Meanwhile, the 53-year-old wrestling legend predicted that Reigns would undergo a significant character change and become the biggest babyface following his return.
"I'm just saying, Roman [Reigns] is gonna come back the biggest babyface than Shawn Michaels. And I mean, there's been a lot of great babyfaces, but nobody saw one like The Heartbreak Kid, baby. I've seen girls in the front row crying, with Shawn reaching out to them, like, 'Help me! They're killing me!' Every time that I've seen somebody jump over the barricade to go help somebody, it was somebody jumping over the barricade to help Shawn,'' he said.
Mark Henry added:
''I've seen him get at least five or six jumpers to try to come to his aid. And I think that's where Roman is gonna be. I think Roman is gonna be the biggest babyface that we've seen in this decade!'' [43:49 - 44:47]
When will Roman Reigns return to WWE?
During a recent episode of Busted Open, former WWE host Matt Camp also addressed the future of The Bloodline storyline. He claimed the countdown for The Tribal Chief's return started after Paul Heyman's destruction on SmackDown.
The former RAW Talk host predicted that the former Undisputed WWE Universal Champion would make his anticipated comeback at SummerSlam.
"What happened last night, Denise, was not about Money in the Bank. This is about way more than Money in the Bank. This puts the clock now on Roman Reigns. I don't know when. But it's a short-attention-span theater in the world of professional wrestling. Everybody knows that. You can tell long stories, but I don't think it's three months down the road. It's probably one and a half. We're looking at SummerSlam right now," he said.
As fans continue to chant "We want Roman," it would be interesting to see when the 39-year-old would show up and whether he would reunite with The Usos to fight Solo Sikoa's group, as many believe would happen.
