The Bloodline receives a major challenge from Nick Aldis; Roman Reigns' absence plays a huge role
The Bloodline was tasked with a massive challenge on WWE SmackDown this week, and Roman Reigns' absence had a huge impact.
Last week on the blue brand, AJ Styles, Randy Orton and LA Knight collided in a triple threat match in the main event to determine who will challenge The Tribal Chief for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at Royal Rumble 2024. However, The Bloodline interfered in the bout and attacked all three stars. Nick Aldis then announced that it'll be a Fatal 4-Way Match at the Rumble.
On the latest edition of SmackDown, Paul Heyman, Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso opened the show, and they addressed what took place last week. They were not happy about the decision that Aldis made. The Wise Man even called the SmackDown General Manager a "James Bond wannabe."
The latter grabbed the microphone and clarified to Heyman that they are not equals. He added that the Fatal 4-Way Match at Royal Rumble will go on as planned. Nick Aldis then announced that in the main event of tonight's SmackDown, Orton, Styles and Knight will face Solo Sikoa, Jimmy Uso and Roman Reigns in a six-man tag team match.
After Paul Heyman said that The Head of the Table was not there, Aldis told The Bloodline that they'll have to find a third partner or the main event will be a 3-on-2 handicap match. If Roman Reigns was there, the match would've been set, but his absence made things difficult for his cousins now.
