The Bloodline's next opponents make surprise appearance outside WWE
The Bloodline is gearing up for a rivalry with two top champions who recently made a surprise appearance outside WWE. Jacob Fatu and Tama Tonga of The Bloodline will be looking to get their hands on some gold later this week.
Fatu and Tonga will challenge Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano for the WWE Tag Team Championship on Friday Night SmackDown.
The heel faction, led by Solo Sikoa, will be preparing for the biggest match of its career on Friday. Meanwhile, Ciampa and Gargano took some time out to make a surprise appearance at AI Wrestling’s Against The World in Cleveland, OH, on August 1, 2024.
For those who may not know, Gargano started with AIW in 2005 and remained with the promotion for some time. He also won the AIW Absolute Championship once in his career.
Ciampa took to Instagram, where he posted a story featuring the two stars at AIW Against The World. You can check out a screenshot of the story below:
How long Ciampa and Gargano can hold the tag team title will have to be seen. The rivalry against Bloodline's two toughest members will be a big test for the duo, especially with Jacob Fatu firing on all cylinders since his WWE debut.
The Bloodline could win on WWE SmackDown
The Bloodline was once the most decorated faction in SmackDown. Roman Reigns held the Undisputed WWE Championship, while The Usos had the tag team title.
The new version of the heel faction needs some gold to come across as a credible threat. Solo Sikoa will be challenging Cody Rhodes for the top title at SummerSlam, and it’s unlikely that he’ll win the title.
Instead, the creative team could put the tag team title on The Bloodline on Friday. It will help give the faction a big push, especially with SummerSlam a few nights away. The match between Solo Sikoa and Cody Rhodes will also be more exciting if the former’s faction has some champions.
