The Bloodline's potential challengers send a warning following WWE SmackDown
The Bloodline took home the WWE Tag Team Championship on last week’s SmackDown. The latest edition of the show saw a tag team come close to the heelish faction’s titles, and they sent a warning to the rest of the locker room.
The Bloodline had a mixed week. They had captured the tag titles, but the win was closely followed by Solo Sikoa’s loss at WWE SummerSlam.
Street Profits competed against A-Town Down Under on Friday night in a tournament to crown the #1 contenders for the tag team titles. Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford worked like a well-oiled machine and defeated Austin Theory and Grayson Waller to get one step closer to challenging The Bloodline for the gold.
Following their win on SmackDown, The Street Profits and B-Fab were interviewed backstage. In an exclusive, B-Fab stated that it was time to put some gold back on Ford and Dawkins.
"What you saw was exactly what we needed, and that was a win to get the momentum so that we can get back on the road to gold, to get the titles back to The Street Profits, like they deserve. It’s been a long, long time since they’ve held that gold, like we talked about earlier. But that time is coming to an end. Time to get back to the gold," B-Fab said.
Montez Ford added that the trio wanted to remind WWE fans and the entire locker room of who The Street Profits are. He remarked that they would ensure that they left a mark with their performances.
"We manifested it, we went out there and did what we always do. Find a way. This period, Dawks, peaks and valleys, the highs and lows, seems like we lost ourselves a little bit. Got a little stagnant, stagnant to the point that people forgot who The Street Profits was. So, step by step, the next couple of weeks, we’ll kindly remind you all exactly who we are. We’re no strangers to this field. You are," Ford said. [H/T Fightful]
Angelo Dawkins also added that the faction wasn’t ready to take any disrespect from anyone. He agreed with B-Fab and Montez Ford and ended the segment by stating that they were ready to get back on top.
The Bloodline will face the winners of next week's SmackDown at WWE Bash in Berlin
#DIY’s Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano lost the WWE Tag Team Championship to The Bloodline not long ago. The duo are back in the game and are looking to get a rematch for the titles soon.
Ciampa and Gargano will face The Street Profit’s Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford on next week’s SmackDown. The winner of the contest will challenge The Bloodline for the tag team titles at WWE Bash in Berlin.
Many reports state that Jacob Fatu is out with an injury following SummerSlam. However, the titles could be defended under the 'Freebird Rule,' where any two members of The Bloodline could take to the ring to defend it.
