The Bloodline will never succeed on its own, believes ex-WWE employee, without 6-time World Champion's involvement
WWE fans are currently witnessing a new era of The Bloodline, led by Solo Sikoa. The Street Champ has created his version of the faction by recruiting Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and Jacob Fatu. However, former WWE host Matt Camp recently claimed that the faction was unlikely to achieve significant success without the involvement of Roman Reigns.
The erstwhile Big Dog lost his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship to Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania XL. Following that, Sikoa took over The Bloodline as he kicked out Jimmy Uso and Paul Heyman and recruited new members as mentioned earlier.
Speaking on his The Wrestling Matt podcast, Matt Camp argued that The Bloodline's success was inextricably linked to the four-time WWE Champion and two-time Universal Champion. Despite the group's evolution and Solo Sikoa's rise as a leader, fan reactions have revolved around Roman Reigns.
The former WWE host suggested that the heel faction's identity was so intertwined with The OTC that they would struggle to achieve significant success without Roman's involvement.
"If you say, 'Bloodline,' you don't think of any of the current members first. You think of Roman Reigns. Just how it is. Everything that has happened with them is still somehow connected back to Roman Reigns. Obviously now, it's at the forefront. Solo taking over the group, still getting Roman chants, and that's what they want. But the group will never do anything on their own. It will always come back to Roman," Matt Camp said. The Bloodline is set for a massive match at WWE Bad Blood
Since his massive return to WWE TV at SummerSlam 2024, Roman Reigns has been involved in a heated feud with the rejuvenated Bloodline. Seeking to regain control of the group from his rebellious cousin, the former Undisputed WWE Universal Champion has been subjected to two brutal beatdowns at the hands of The Samoan Werewolf and the Tongan Brothers, at the orders of Solo Sikoa.
However, things changed on the September 13 edition of Friday Night SmackDown. As announced by WWE, The OTC is set to form a dream team with his former rival Cody Rhodes to face The Bloodline's Jacob Fatu and Solo Sikoa in a tag team match at the Bad Blood Premium Live Event.
It will be interesting to see if Roman and Cody secure a big win over Fatu and Sikoa in Atlanta on October 5.
