The last star to have supposedly spoken to Vince McMahon about WWE creative reveals: "I haven't seen him since that day"
Vince McMahon has remained retired since walking away from WWE for the second time earlier this year, with no hope of his return. Dijak recently revealed that he might have been the last WWE star to have a creative meeting with Vince McMahon before the latter's exit.
Vince McMahon was first forced to step down from his WWE position in 2022 after details of his "hush-money" payments came to light. While he returned to WWE in an executive capacity just six months later, a lawsuit from former employee Janel Grant led to his seemingly permanent departure in January 2024.
During an interview with Joe Lowry, Dijak recalled his last interaction with McMahon, which incidentally may have been the final time a talent had spoken to the veteran promoter about their creative direction.
Since that day, Dijak hasn't seen Mr. McMahon, as he revealed below:
"Yeah, I haven't seen Vince since that day. I've told this story a couple of times actually that I think I'm the last person who ever spoke to Vince in a creative fashion in terms of talent. Because I was probably the last person to speak with him on the Monday Night RAW before the Times article was released, and then we never saw him again." [10:08 - 10:30]
Dijak clarified that while he never saw Vince McMahon again, the 78-year-old visited WWE TV tapings after his brief return during his infamous mustache days.
"I shouldn't say we never saw him again because he was on TV a few times with some friends of mine when I was still in NXT; he had that little mustache thing going on." [10:31 - 10:54]
Dijak comments on the allegations against Vince McMahon
The door back into WWE for Vince McMahon has seemingly been shut down firmly due to the serious sexual misconduct allegations against him. WWE has also been named in the lawsuit that delved deeper into the disconcerting work environment in the company during VKM's regime.
Dijak was asked if he'd heard about the allegations against McMahon before the general public knew. The former NXT star suggested that as he'd been in WWE since 2017, there were a lot of rumors that 'trickled' down backstage.
"When you're in WWE as long as I've been, you have a lot of friends who've been there and have acquaintances, and everything trickles down, and sometimes more than everything, and so you hear lots and lots and lots of rumors." [10:57 - 11:15]
Dijak clarified that he had no knowledge of McMahon's deeds, but once the details were widely reported in the media, he could connect the dots and see the bigger picture.
