The Miz makes bold accusations against his former WWE tag team partner R-Truth
WWE's tag team comprising of The Miz and R-Truth, known as The Awesome Truth, has officially disbanded. The eight-time Intercontinental Champion recently made shocking accusations against his former partner.
The A-Lister and Truth had been a team since they reunited on the Day 1 episode of Monday Night RAW this year. The beloved duo went on to capture the RAW Tag Team Championship (now World Tag Team Championship) on Night One of WrestleMania XL in a Six-Pack Ladder Match.
The two men successfully defended the title on several occasions until losing it to The Judgment Day (JD McDonagh and Finn Balor) on the June 24, 2024, edition of the red brand.
The Awesome Truth's momentum went downhill after that. Frustrated by repeated defeats, The Awesome One finally betrayed R-Truth on September 30 during their tag team match against The Authors of Pain (Akam and Rezar).
During an appearance on The Rich Eisen Show, the two-time WWE Grand Slam Champion was asked why he turned heel on his tag team partner. The Miz asserted that he is a good guy who has always acted morally. He further accused R-Truth of being the true heel despite his portrayal as a babyface.
The A-Lister cited instances of mistreatment and claimed that his actions were necessary to correct the 52-year-old beloved veteran's behavior.
"I feel like I'm a good guy. I've done everything right. R-Truth is the one that has been the heel the whole time, in my opinion. You don't believe me? The guy has put me through so much. So much. And then sometimes you just need to turn on someone to make them realize the error in their ways," Miz said. [From 15:56 to 16:13]

R-Truth defeated The Miz on WWE RAW in 60 seconds
After The Awesome One turned heel on R-Truth, the company booked a singles match between the former tag team partners. The two men collided on the October 14, 2024, episode of Monday Night RAW.
Not much to The Miz's delight, Karrion Kross came out and caused a distraction which led Truth to roll up his opponent to pick up the win. The two-time WWE Champion suffered a humiliating loss in just 60 seconds. However, The A-Lister got furious and blindsided R-Truth after the match.
Whether the bond between the former WWE World Tag Team Champions can be mended remains to be seen.
