The New Day receives a new name from 53-year-old WWE veteran following Monday Night RAW

The New Day is no longer loved by the WWE Universe after its actions against Big E. Recently, Tommy Dreamer gave the group a new name while introducing Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods in a segment.

Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods crossed a line when they betrayed Big E, who wanted his now-former stablemates to reconcile after months of tension. Instead, the two blamed the injured star for their shortcomings and removed him from the faction when they celebrated their 10th anniversary on Monday Night RAW.

On Busted Open After Dark, the 53-year-old called Kingston and Woods The Boo Day in one of the segments of the podcast. Dreamer also reacted to the group's appearance on Monday Night RAW and claimed that The Boo Day sucked.

"Coming up next, it's The Boo Day. That's right, The Boo Day getting booed out of your own hometown and in your hometown arena in front of your mom. The Boo Day sucks," Dreamer said. (From 14:34 to 14:50)

Former WWE champion praises The New Day's recent antics

Earlier this year, The New Day struggled as a team following a string of losses to old and new tandems on WWE's main roster. After WrestleMania XL, Woods and Kingston feuded with the Karrion Kross-led Final Testament in a losing effort.

Despite their differences, Karrion Kross was impressed by Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods' choice to ditch Big E and go on their own. Later, the two-time NXT Champion apologized to Kingston and praised The New Day's new journey on WWE RAW. Here's what Kross wrote:

"I woke up this morning with a bit of guilt, I just want to take a moment to do this publicly and apologize to @TrueKofi. I had him all wrong. Right now is a great time to look inwards for everyone to do the same. Him and @AustinCreedWins banning together as brothers against the world takes bravery that most people don’t have. They have an incredibly inspiring story," Kross wrote.

The duo is now among the most hated teams on WWE's main roster, and it'll be interesting to see what's next for them.
