"The people want it" - Top WWE star teases collaboration with Sexyy Red

Sexyy Red has almost become a regular feature on WWE NXT. A Hall of Famer recently teased collaborating with the breakout music star of 2023.

WWE has hosted many celebrities over the years, and the creative team has found a place for the young rapper on the NXT brand, where Booker T works as a commentator. The two could partner for an unlikely hit in the coming future, going by recent comments.

Speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, the topic of the rapper’s recent NXT appearances popped up. Booker T noted that fans wanted him to collaborate with the rapper, and that could materialize soon.

"I might have to do a video with Sexyy Red. A music video," Booker T clarified. "A music video because right there, it seems like the people want it. The people want Sexyy Red, the people want Booker T and Sexyy Red to do a collaboration. I can throw in a few bars; I can even throw in a few bars if I have to… I love 'Pound Town.'" Pound Town’s success took Red to the top of the Billboard charts. She has found much success in the rapping business, and WWE has seen some potential in her to pull in a fresh audience.

The company has brought her in for a few big shows in 2024, and she could remain a regular feature on the NXT brand for some time. Meanwhile, Booker T has previously collaborated with Bad Bunny for a music video in 2020. He was part of the music video and had his name used for the title.

WWE fans have seen Sexyy Red and Randy Orton together

NXT’s debut on the CW Network took the show on the road to some new locations for a few events. One such event was held in St. Louis, where 14-time world champion Randy Orton appeared on the show.

Orton competed against the young Je’Von Evans and successfully defeated him after a good match. After the show, The Viper showed up backstage for an interview with Sexyy Red, but he took over the interviewer's duty.

Here is what Sarah Schrieber wrote on Instagram after the show:

"Wouldn’t be [NXT] in St. Louis without these St. Louis born and raised [Randy Orton] [Sexyy Red]! Yes, Randy knew I wasn’t a local and took over my job. Respect!'' she wrote.

WWE seems to be high on Red, and she could even make her in-ring debut down the line for a few matches. It would be good to have another celebrity make a mark in the ring.
