The Rock gets called out once again by major WWE Superstar for a one-on-one match: "Offer still stands"
WWE Superstar The Rock is on a hiatus following his triumphant return at WrestleMania XL. Meanwhile, the current Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes has seemingly issued an open challenge to the Hollywood star once again.
On Night 1 of Showcase of the Immortals, The Great One teamed up with his cousin Roman Reigns to face the duo of Seth Rollins and Rhodes in a tag team match. It was The Bloodline members who secured a huge win over the babyfaces.
However, before that, at Elimination Chamber 2024, The American Nightmare called out The Great One during his appearance on "The Grayson Waller Effect" in Perth, Australia.
During an appearance on INSIGHT with Chris Van Vliet, the 39-year-old champion revisited his bold challenge to Dwayne Johnson for a singles match. Cody Rhodes confirmed that the offer for a one-on-one match still stands whenever The Rock decides to return to the company.
"Offer still stands. And again, if he never comes back, he’s done it all. He really has. And as much as I insulted him previously, it was an honor to be part of his last outing. But what I learned physically in the ring with him, it shouldn’t be his last outing. There’s more. There’s not just gas left in the tank, there might be multiple tanks. There’s more and I would like the WWE Universe or pro wrestling fans I’d like them to see that," he said.
The American Nightmare claimed that young fans should witness Dwayne Johnson's "People's Champion" run. Rhodes added:
"I think there’s a world where [he’s the] WWE Director the Board great. But I think there’s a world with WWE really benefits and this young audience being able to connect with him they don’t know him as the people’s champ, they know him as The Final Boss. That offer stands whenever."

Cody Rhodes comments on The Rock crossing the line during their WWE feud
The wrestling world witnessed back-to-back promo battles between The Bloodline member and Rhodes after the latter reclaimed his WrestleMania 40 main event spot from the former at the Kickoff Press Event in Las Vegas.
Speaking to CVV, The American Nightmare revealed one of the comments of The Rock that crossed the line on an episode of Friday Night SmackDown.
"Line wise, the only line I think he crossed was he made my sister Teil non-canon because he had mentioned that I had two other siblings and that being Dustin and Kristen who are from my dad’s first marriage, which is you know, you’re not wrong that I do have them, and he was explaining [that] when he called me a mistake. But he made Teil non-canon and Teil was like the closest I have," said Rhodes.
Only time will tell if The Final Boss responds to Cody Rhodes' offer amidst his absence from WWE TV.
