The Rock may agree with losing to Roman Reigns for one reason, explains WWE veteran (Exclusive)
According to a former WWE writer there is an interesting reason why The Rock may agree to lose to Roman Reigns if a match between them comes to pass.
The former WWE personality in question is Vince Russo. The Rock recently returned to the screen to lay out Jinder Mahal at WWE Day 1. Since his return, many have predicted a showdown between The Great One and Roman Reigns, which may be intended to put another notch in the already impressive list of The Tribal Chief's victories.
Considering The Rock's star power, anyone who defeats him is certain to rise higher in popularity. According to Vince Russo on Sportskeeda's Writing with Russo, there is only one reason why The Rock could agree to do the job for Roman.
"I think what plays into count is I think it would be a very different story if Roman Reigns was not family... Rock may be looking at it the other way around, what it does for Roman. I mean Roman beating him bro, really, like now that really solidifies Roman Reigns. Bro if this was just another you know, main eventer on the card? I think it might be a little different..." The WWE veteran believes The Rock has lost some popularity because of politics
Acccording to Vince Russo, The Rock's popularity has taken a significant hit due to his political interactions.
Speaking on Legion of RAW, the veteran explained:
"I don't think the Rock has the shine he used to have. I think a lot of that has to do with there was a point where Rock became a little political and threw his hat in the political ring a little bit. People don't like that. I don't think that had a positive effect. If anything, I think it had a negative effect. Now, The Rock is The Rock and there will never ever be another Rock but I don't know if he still has that shine with the casual fan."
