The Rock was the reason why Cody Rhodes refused to address Bad Blood events on WWE RAW, says ex-employee

Cody Rhodes made a brief appearance on WWE RAW last Monday. However, The American Nightmare refused to comment on what happened at Bad Blood. A former WWE employee now thinks The Rock was behind the 39-year-old being tight-lipped on the red brand.

The latest premium live event witnessed many surprises, including Jimmy Uso's return during Rhodes and Roman Reigns' tag team match against The Bloodline's Jacob Fatu and Solo Sikoa. The Rock also surprisingly appeared following The American Nightmare and his partner's victory. He made a cryptic gesture to Rhodes, Reigns, and Jimmy before leaving. After Bad Blood, Kevin Owens turned on Rhodes and attacked him in the parking lot. On the Behind The Turnbuckle: The Last Word podcast, former employee Tommy Carlucci speculated why Rhodes refused to address all these events on RAW.

As The American Nightmare told Cathy Kelley in a backstage interview that he would comment on what happened at Bad Blood on the upcoming episode of SmackDown, Carlucci claimed it was because the company does not have a plan yet for Friday and is waiting for The Rock to put one:

"You know why? Cuz they don't know what they're doing on Friday yet until The Final Boss says so," he said. [3:00 - 3:06]

Cody Rhodes confronted Gunther on WWE RAW

At Bad Blood, Chief Content Officer Triple H announced that the Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes will square off against the World Heavyweight Champion Gunther for the Crown Jewel Title at the upcoming Saudi premium live event.

Following the major announcement, The Ring General successfully defended his World Heavyweight Championship against Sami Zayn on Monday Night RAW. After the square-off, Rhodes confronted Gunther as the show went off the air.

RAW Talk host Sam Roberts believes The Ring General will come out on top at Crown Jewel as Kevin Owens would interfere to cost The American Nightmare the match. It would be interesting to see if that would happen.
