The Rock's daughter Ava makes major announcement about top WWE championship

In the latest WWE NXT episode, it was announced that Ethan Page would defend his NXT Championship at The Great American Bash. The Rock's daughter Ava made the match official for the upcoming event.

Trick Williams won't be the challenger, however. It'll be The Meta-Four's Oro Mensah, who's been involved in a feud with All Ego for quite some time now. The 29-year-old was among the first people that the former AEW star attacked backstage after signing with WWE.

Two weeks ago on NXT, Joe Hendry returned and teamed up with Williams to take on Ethan Page and Shawn Spears in a tag team match. The NXT Champion was forced to escape after Oro chased him off. The Meta-Four member wrestled Ashante 'Thee' Adonis during this week's show.

After he won the bout, he called out Ethan Page, but the latter didn't come out. Later, when the champion was involved in another in-ring segment, Oro Mensah rushed in and pinned All Ego. Ethan Page was unhappy at all, and he told Ava to give him a match against Mensah.

He stated that he was willing to put his WWE NXT Title on the line. The NXT General Manager Ava quickly agreed and announced that the match would take place in Week 2 of The Great American Bash. Next week, she will prepare the contract.
