The Rock shares major update amid WWE return rumors

WWE Superstar The Rock recently took to social media to share a major update amid rumors of his return to the Stamford-based promotion. The Brahma Bull hasn't been seen on the company's programming since October 2024.

At the start of this year, The People's Champion made his electrifying return and gave fans one of the best storylines alongside Roman Reigns and The Bloodline. Although the legend hadn't performed in a full-fledged wrestling match for years before WrestleMania XL, he put on an incredible performance. He and Reigns defeated Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins in a tag team match on Night One.

The Rock recently made a surprise appearance at Bad Blood 2024 and was seemingly unhappy with Roman Reigns teaming up with Cody Rhodes. Many fans expected The Brahma Bull to show up at Survivor Series: WarGames 2024 as well. While that did not happen, rumors of The Great One's WWE comeback are still doing the rounds on social media.

Amid these rumors, Dwayne Johnson recently took to Instagram to share a major update on his latest movie, Moana 2. The Hollywood megastar confirmed the reports of his movie earning approximately $389 million worldwide, which was the biggest opening ever for an animated film.

In his post's caption, The Rock thanked everyone for making Moana 2 a global phenomenon and for embracing the Polynesian culture shown in the movie.

"Thank you 🤎🌺 for this global phenomenon and global embrace of our Polynesian culture, music, and MANA," he shared.

Mark Henry wanted to see The Rock return at WWE Survivor Series

During a recent edition of the Busted Open podcast, WWE legend Mark Henry said he wanted The Rock to return to WWE at Survivor Series: WarGames 2024.

The World's Strongest Man also mentioned that he wanted to see The Final Boss telling Roman Reigns that he was the High Chief, which was seemingly a bigger position than Reigns' status as The Tribal Chief.

"I was the guy that wanted to see The Rock show up [at Survivor Series] and go, 'Well, so, you're The Tribal Chief. Well, The Tribal Chief is beneath who I am, which is The High Chief.' And there be some task, thrown your way. Make The Rock, the 'taskmaster.' 'You want to go to WrestleMania? You either going to do what I tell you or you going to tell what I tell you,'" Henry said.
