The Rock will return after months of absence at a major WWE show, says ex-employee
The Rock has been away from WWE television since April 2024. However, a former WWE employee believes The Final Boss will return in less than four months at a major show.
The former employee in question is Tommy Carlucci. The man who spent over 30 years in the Stamford-based company discussed what could happen on the first RAW on Netflix in January with his co-host, WWE veteran Jonathan Coachman, on Behind The Turnbuckle: The Last Word podcast. When The Coach pointed out that The Rock must be on the show, Carlucci predicted he would.
The former WWE employee claimed there is no way the 52-year-old TKO board member would miss the debut of RAW on Netflix:
"Do you think The Rock is gonna miss the debut of Netflix really? There is no way," he said. [14:43 - 14:49]
Is WWE setting up The Rock's return?
Roman Reigns is currently feuding with Solo Sikoa's version of The Bloodline. He will team up with Cody Rhodes to fight the self-proclaimed Tribal Chief and Jacob Fatu at Bad Blood.
On the Busted Open podcast, Hall of Famer Mark Henry addressed the possibility of Reigns going head-to-head against Fatu. He claimed the latter could defeat the Original Tribal Chief before losing to Rhodes to set up The Rock's return to the company.
"You know what that sets up? That sets up The Rock coming in and going like this, 'I'm better than all of ya'll. And just because you beat Jacob, just because you beat Roman, just because you beat up Tama Tonga, you're not gonna beat The Rock. The Rock is the greatest of all time. The Rock is The People's Champ. The Rock is The Final Boss.' And in every video game, what do you have at the end of every video game? The Final Boss," he said.
Tommy Carlucci also predicted that The Rock would go after The American Nightmare upon his comeback, as he promised before he went on hiatus. It would be interesting to see if that happens.
