The Street Profits removed from title match after shocking injuries on WWE SmackDown; Nick Aldis says they need medical treatment & names replacements
The Street Profits have not had the best luck in recent months and now Nick Aldis has had to take them out of a title match. The stars have been trying to establish themselves as the top names for the WWE Tag Team Title. They qualified by defeating multiple other stars to become the No. 1 contenders for the WWE Tag Team Championship. Unfortunately, they got attacked backstage on WWE SmackDown, and now, replacements have been named.
The Street Profits may have earned their opportunity to face the Motor City Machine Guns for the WWE Tag Team Championship. However, they were not the ones who ended up getting the chance. Thanks to the attack, Nick Aldis had to remove them from the match. He said that they were badly hurt and needed medical treatment as a result. DIY stepped up to the task.
The General Manager was then confronted by Johnny Gargano and MCMG, who came to an agreement that in the absence of the Street Profits, it would be DIY who got a chance to get the championship.
The stars got their chance, but it remains uncertain if it was Tommaso Ciampa or Johnny Gargano who was behind the attack. While they got the advantage, it remains to be seen who put The Street Profits out of action. Nick Aldis will likely be looking into the attack.
