The Street Profits share message after heel turn tease on WWE SmackDown

The chase for the WWE Tag Team Championship continued on Friday's SmackDown with teams competing for a spot in the next title match, and the arrival of a legendary tag team. Despite minor setbacks, The Street Profits and B-Fab are moving forward. The trio went viral after sharing a post-SmackDown message.

The Street Profits can't seem to secure a fourth championship reign, despite the singles potential of Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins' growth. Friday's loaded SmackDown saw The Profits compete in a Triple-Threat qualifier with Pretty Deadly and eventual winners DIY. The Profits lost in controversial fashion as Ford and Tommaso Ciampa both scored simultaneous pinfalls, but Ford pinned the illegal Elton Prince, while Ciampa covered Kit Wilson, who was the legal man.

Ford and Dawkins are not giving up on gold, and they are not happy with Friday's result. Following the loss, WWE cameras caught up with Ford, Dawkins, and B-Fab while backstage at the Colonial Life Arena in Columbia, SC. After ranting and venting at a security officer, Montez expressed how he was not happy with the finish.

"Ask somebody else. Ask somebody else what happened... You don't gotta ask them, ask us, we know what happened. I'm not gonna sit here and just let these people just waltz up in here and say that they won the match, when I was clearly the winner... Hit our tag team finishing move, laid them down... 1-2-3. How many times do I need to explain it to them?, Montez Ford said.

Dawkins then chimed in and mocked Ciampa and Johnny Gargano, doubling down on who he thought the real winners were.

"DIY.. You think you won? You had me jumping up and down like you won the dog-gone tag team championship. You ain't win a championship, bruh, only thing you did was believe your lying eyes, alright? You already know The Street Profits won, alright? Y'all just hating, y'all just hating," Angelo Dawkins said.

Friday's win allowed DIY to advance to this week's contender's match against The Motor City Machine Guns. Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley debuted last week by winning a Triple-Threat that also included Los Garzas and A-Town Down Under. The winners of The Guns vs. DIY will become the new #1 contenders to the WWE Tag Team Championship, held by The Bloodline's Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa.
