"The top prize in all of wrestling" - Drew McIntyre's hatred of CM Punk knows no bounds
Drew McIntyre has not missed a single opportunity to insult CM Punk over the past few months. His hatred for The Best in the World has been quite consistent since Punk's return to WWE back at Survivor Series last year.
Drew McIntyre's wrath for CM Punk has been evident, and the latter's valuable bracelet, having his wife and dog's name, has become the foundation of their heated feud. McIntyre and Punk's current rivalry has become one of the hottest stories in the industry, and fans have been waiting to see what comes next.
Drew McIntyre, in a recent interview with Chris Van Vliet, addressed Punk's bracelet and stated that it was the top prize in the wrestling industry.
"I've seen some of the memes about it being more meaningful, or people have more of an emotional attachment right now than some of the titles, which may technically be true right now. But eventually, the titles will kick up their gear in the storylines, et cetera. But I'm gonna be so bold as to say this right now is perhaps the top prize in all of wrestling," said McIntyre. While he acknowledged the bracelet as the top prize in the industry, McIntyre broke it into pieces this week on WWE RAW, after unleashing a brutal attack on The Best in the World.
WWE analyst wants Drew McIntyre vs. CM Punk III to be a Loser Leaves RAW Match
While fans have been anticipating a Hell in Cell match to be potentially the next stipulation for McIntyre vs. Punk, WWE analyst Sam Roberts stated that a 'Loser Leaves RAW' match would be the best way to put a full stop to this thrilling feud.
In a recent episode of the NotSam Wrestling podcast, he stated that Adam Pearce should have been tired of both men beating each other out every week and should book a 'Loser Leaves RAW' match next.
"Whatever you do with this match, I say the stipulation, not the rules, but the stipulation is 'Loser Leaves RAW.' That's the way to do this to me. There's no way, regardless of who wins, that one person will go, 'You know what? You won two out of the three. So you're the better man.' That would never happen. I think that Adam Pearce needs to make something declarative that says. 'I realize that these two can't be on the same roster.' So, we're going to do Drew McIntyre and CM Punk in one more match. Only this time, 'Loser Leaves RAW,'" said Sam Roberts. (10:50 - 11:32)
While the stipulation for another match between both men is still a mystery, Bad Blood seems to be the perfect place to book it. Only time will tell what WWE has in store for Punk and McIntyre in the future.
