"The uncrowned prince" - Triple H intentionally delaying major WWE star's push, according to former champion, for one important reason

Former WWE Superstar Matthew Rehwoldt shared that he believes Triple H has been delaying a major RAW star's push for a big reason. The star being referred to is Jey Uso.

After becoming a part of one of the biggest storylines in pro wrestling history with The Bloodline, Jey became a fan favorite on Monday Night RAW. Although the Yeet Master is one of the most decorated names in the Tag Team division, he has yet to cement his legacy as a singles star. Many fans want the former SmackDown Tag Team Champion to win a major singles title soon. However, he has not been booked properly by The Game and Co. in big matches.

During a recent edition of the Rebooked Wrestling Podcast, former WWE NXT Tag Team Champion Matthew Rehwoldt said that he believed Jey Uso had been given the tag of 'Main Event' but the Triple H-led creative has not booked him to win anything major.

"I feel like for the longest time, at least for all summer I think, probably since Mania, he's like the uncrowned prince, you know what I mean? Umm the joke has been, it's an unfortunate joke and I don't really like it but the idea is like, he's Main Event Jey Uso that never wins the main event. He'll win tag matches and stuff like that of course but like when the title or when something like Money in the Bank or King of the Ring or whatever's on the line, they always go in a different direction," he said.

Matthew Rehwoldt also mentioned the connection between fans and Jey Uso. He believed The Yeet Master should soon win the WWE Intercontinental Championship.

"I think the Intercontinental Title would be a great direction. I think, kind of like LA Knight did before him. I think Jey Uso needs an attaboy, a little bit. I think he does have an unreal connection with the crowd. IC Title with everybody doing YEETs and everything, like that is a visual you're killing for," he added.

Jey Uso might get a shot at the Intercontinental Championship after next week's WWE RAW

Jey Uso is currently participating in a number-one contender's tournament for the WWE Intercontinental Championship. The finals of the tournament are set to take place next week on WWE RAW and Jey will face Ilja Dragunov, Braun Strowman, and Pete Dunne.

Although everyone involved in the match is a big-name star, many people expect The Yeet Master to emerge victorious. If Jey wins the bout, he will soon face Bron Breakker for the gold.
