The Undertaker explains why Gunther doesn't need a managerĀ
WWE Hall of Famer The Undertaker recently explained why he believes World Heavyweight Champion Gunther doesn't need a manager. The Deadman has been a strong advocate for The Ring General's rise in the company and has now provided additional reasons for his stance.
Despite retiring from in-ring competition several years ago, Taker continues to follow WWE programming closely and occasionally makes special appearances. A few months ago, The Phenom expressed his admiration for the 37-year-old star, calling him "his guy" because of his impressive in-ring skills.
Speaking on his Six Feet Under with Mark Calaway podcast, The Undertaker shared that he believes that The Ring General doesn't need a manager because of his strong personality. He described the World Heavyweight Champion as being very confident and arrogant, to the point where it's almost off-putting.
According to The Deadman, Gunther can effectively communicate with the audience on his own, without the need for a manager to speak for him.
"I don't think he [Gunther] needs a manager. He can talk [on the mic]. He's very arrogant and he carries himself in such a manner that you want to slap him because he's so confident and arrogant," he said. (From 59:11 to 59:26)

The Imperium member secured the World Heavyweight Championship from Damian Priest at SummerSlam 2024. He then successfully defended his title against Randy Orton at the Bash in Berlin PLE.
On an episode of Busted Open After Dark, Tommy Dreamer mentioned that CM Punk is the ideal next challenger for Gunther's World Heavyweight Championship. The veteran suggested that a match between the two would be a major event.
"I think the only place CM Punk can go is the world title. I think, we have a CM Punk / Gunther match, that's a massive main event waiting. Drew [McIntyre], I don't know where he goes. It maybe gives Drew a little bit of time away," Dreamer said.
