WWE News: The Undertaker fully expected to perform at Wrestlemania 33

The Phenom looks like he will be back for one more time

The Undertaker was spotted in pictures a couple of weeks back in crutches, leading many to believe that time had indeed set on him and that his journey had come to an end.

However, just recently, he was spotted in the NBA Opening Night game for the Cleveland Cavaliers, dressed in his character attire. And this time around, he had no crutches on. It is believed that the only reason he was wearing crutches was due to a hip surgery that he recently had.

According to the Wrestling News Source, The Undertaker is fully expected to perform at Wrestlemania 33 next year, and The Phenom has even shared a list of names with WWE officials that he would like to work with.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter stated that WWE are trying to put together an Undertaker vs Goldberg match, i.e if WWE can convince Goldberg to come back for another match. As of now, it is known that Goldberg is back for just a one-off at this Survivor Series against Brock Lesnar.

If the Undertaker vs Goldberg match happens, then it is expected that Goldberg will be inducted into the 2017 Hall Of Fame Class.

The original plans for The Undertaker were apparently to face John Cena. In fact, he was supposed to face Cena this year at Wrestlemania 32 in what is assumed to have been his retirement match. However, things didn’t pan out due to Cena getting a torn rotator cuff, and he ended up facing Shane McMahon instead.

If Undertaker and Cena don’t go head to head next year, then it is highly likely that John Cena will be going for(and winning) his 16th World Championship at the grandest stage of them all. Many believe that Cena is the rightful final opponent for The Undertaker as they are two icons who have never faced off at Wrestlemania before.
