The Undertaker gives major praise to WWE RAW name
The Undertaker officially retired from active competition almost four years ago. The legendary WWE Hall of Famer has managed to reinvent himself in retirement and has stayed relevant with his Six Feet Under podcast, where fans can access a side of The Lord of Darkness many never imagined. Taker also critiques the WWE and AEW products and publicly endorsed a rising RAW star.
The Undertaker and Joe Tessitore made headlines this week when The Phenom joined Joe and Jesse Palmer in the TV booth during ABC's Saturday broadcast of the Texas Longhorns vs. Florida Gators college football game. Taker, a noted Longhorns fan, talked football and denied one sideline reporter who wanted to see Tessitore slammed through the booth, joking that he'd get heat from WWE higher-ups.
The Phenom took to X to endorse the newest Voice of RAW, who debuted as the red brand's lead announcer in September. Tessitore joined the company while still with ABC/ESPN and has 19 years of experience in broadcasting. Taker shared a clip from Saturday's ABC broadcast and labeled Tessitore a consummate pro in his career, who's also a blast to hang out with in The City Of Legends.
"From college football to #WWERaw, you’re a consummate pro @JoeTessESPN. It’s great hearing you on Mondays and I had a blast hanging with you this past Saturday in Austin," The Undertaker wrote with the video below.
The veteran recently announced three more dates for his critically acclaimed series of UNDERTAKER 1 deadMAN SHOW events. He will return to Austin on Sunday, December 15, at Emo's. He's also booked for December 13 at The Factory in Deep Ellum (Dallas) and December 14 at 713 Music Hall in Houston.
The Undertaker draws views with Donald Trump
Donald Trump was elected as the 47th President of the United States earlier this month. The Celebrity Wing WWE Hall of Famer previously served as the 45th President from 2017-2021.
The Undertaker is one of many celebrities who endorsed Trump in the 2024 election. Trump's strategy of appearing on popular podcasts in the final months of the election is being cited as one major reason for the landslide victory. After The Phenom and Kane endorsed Donald, The Dead Man interviewed Trump on his Six Feet Under podcast. The video currently has almost 3 million views on X and more than 836,000 views on YouTube.
Trump has several high-profile supporters within the world of pro wrestling. In addition to names like Taker, Kane, and Vince McMahon, the following stars are known supporters of the President-elect: Hulk Hogan, Logan Paul, Jake Hager, Chris Jericho, and Ted DiBiase, among others.
