The Undertaker names possible WWE opponent for Gunther

The Undertaker was one of the tallest superstars on the roster during his 30-year WWE in-ring career. The 6'10" Hall of Famer recently explained why he had high hopes for Omos and how a feud with Gunther could help The Nigerian Giant.

Omos made his main roster debut in 2020. The 7'3" star won the RAW Tag Team Championship with AJ Styles before becoming a singles competitor. His most notable rivalries so far have come against Bobby Lashley, Braun Strowman, and Brock Lesnar.

The Undertaker said on his Six Feet Under w/Mark Calaway podcast that Omos must work with larger wrestlers. He named Strowman and Bronson Reed as possible rivals before mentioning the current World Heavyweight Champion:

"I think it's just having people that pose any kind of challenge to him at all," The Undertaker said. "He's so much bigger than everybody. You've got Braun Strowman out there, you've got Bronson Reed. I could see a Gunther working with Omos but having to really, really scrap from underneath." [26:19 – 26:53]

Omos' most recent WWE match took place on the April 5 episode of SmackDown. He inadvertently eliminated himself while launching The Creed Brothers over the top rope in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.

The Undertaker compares Omos to Andre the Giant

In the 1980s, Andre the Giant was one of WWE's most high-profile names. Billed at 7'4", the Frenchman famously headlined WrestleMania 3 against Hulk Hogan in 1987.

The Undertaker views Omos as a current-day version of Andre and thinks he should "squash" most of his opponents:

"There's nothing else that makes sense. There's just nobody on the roster that makes sense. I don't care how over, what you are, if you sacrifice that [by having wrestlers beat Omos], you can't do it. You have to be so judicious in how you handle him. There's not many people I don't think that he shouldn't just squash. He is a modern-day Andre." [25:30 – 25:57]

The Phenom also gave his thoughts on whether Omos should ever win another title in WWE.
