The Usos' reunion with Roman Reigns blocks major WWE story, explains former star

A former WWE star thinks that the reunion between The Usos and Roman Reigns is preventing a major storyline from happening. Matt Morgan believes that Jey Uso's story as a singles star is just beginning and he should continue to remain solo.

At WWE Crown Jewel, Jey got a separate entrance from Reigns and Jimmy. It showed the former Intercontinental Champion's popularity with the crowd. The Yeet Master proved that he can go toe-to-toe with The OTC in terms of public support.

Speaking on the Gigantic Pop podcast with Raj Giri, Morgan explained that the reception Jey had in Saudi Arabia should be an eye-opener for the people in charge of WWE. The Blueprint believes that "Main Event" has a shot a living up to the nickname.

"They were going ballistic for him which is proving the point even more. He can stand alone as a main event (superstar)." [1:13 - 1:20]

Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso, and Roman Reigns lost their six-man tag team match against Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, and Tama Tonga at Crown Jewel. Sami Zayn would later aid the trio since Tonga Loa gave The Bloodline the advantage.

However, Zayn accidentally hit Reigns with the Helluva Kick to set up a possible drama-filled episode of SmackDown this Friday. WWE begins their buildup for the upcoming Survivor Series: WarGames Premium Live Event scheduled at the end of the month this week.

Jey Uso outsells Roman Reigns in terms of merchandise

According to Wrestlenomics (H/T eWrestlingNews), Jey Uso is the number one superstar in terms of merchandise sales in October. It's a testament to Jey's rise as one of the most popular and beloved superstars in WWE today.

The former Intercontinental Champion's sales were more than that of CM Punk in second place and Roman Reigns at number three combined. It's an astonishing development given that Jey only became a singles superstar last year.

Other superstars in the top 10 for October include John Cena, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Chris Jericho, Cody Rhodes, Jimmy Uso, Rhea Ripley, and the New World Order. Some of Jey's most sold items were the Black Yeet T-shirt, Pink Yeet T-shirt, and White Yeet T-shirt.
