The Wyatt Sicks in a weird situation due to WWE's booking mistake, notes veteran: "They don't have the juice"
WWE has introduced several new acts in the Triple H regime, and it seems like the hype for The Wyatt Sicks has somewhat fizzled out. Former WWE writer Freddie Prinze Jr. recently pointed out a mistake that might be the cause.
Led by Bo Dallas, aka Uncle Howdy, The Wyatt Sicks debuted earlier this year and instantly became a prominent faction due to their dark and fascinating personas. The group was the company's way of paying tribute to Bray Wyatt, and fans were eager to see the angle unfold.
Fast forward to a few months, and The Wyatt Sicks' progress has seemingly slowed down. While speaking on his podcast, Freddie Prinze Jr. explained why he'd lost interest in the Wyatt Sicks and felt the stable now lacked heat.
The Wyatt Sicks were recently booked to begin a storyline with The Final Testament, and Freddie Prinze believed the decision hasn't helped Bo Dallas's collective.
"So, it just feels a little weird. You were in a weird angle and now you're dutch and upside down and that's what the Wyatt Sicks feels like. They feel a little off right now. They don't have the heat. They don't have the juice they had before. I don't want to say they are talking a step down because I don't view Final Testament as scrubs but they have been booked in a way that doesn't present them as top-level dudes. So it's weird for the Wyatt Sicks," noted Freddie Prinze Jr. [From 8:19 onwards]
Freddie Prinze Jr. doesn't think WWE had a follow-up story planned for The Wyatt Sicks
After their highly anticipated debuts, members of The Wyatt Sicks kicked off a feud with Chad Gable and The Creed Brothers, which undoubtedly produced some fine television matches.
The angle did its job of showcasing The Wyatt Sicks' potential as an alliance, but beyond that, Freddie Prinze Jr. wasn't certain WWE had plans for the faction.
Prinze Jr. had nothing against Karrion Kross' Final Testament but was unsure whether they were big enough on the card to have a program with The Wyatt Sicks that draws genuine interest.
"I don't think they had another story for them. Now they are putting them with The Final Testament, which, the way Final Testament has been booked, it doesn't have them in a high leverage position, so it doesn't feel like it's worthy of the time of The Wyatt Sicks has received." [7:53 - 8:18]
Visually, The Wyatt Sicks vs. The Final Testament could be a hit for the WWE but that would require both groups to be featured properly every week.
