"These girls are bad" – Ex-WWE star blasts Naomi and Nia Jax after Survivor Series: WarGames

Naomi and Nia Jax competed in the Women's WarGames match at WWE Survivor Series on November 30. Former WWE star Stevie Richards watched the 38-minute contest and was left unimpressed by Jax's use of a steel chair.

Since 2010, steel chair shots to the head have been banned in WWE due to the possible risk of concussions. Despite the ban, Jax motioned like she planned to strike Naomi in the head before the SmackDown star raised her arms to protect herself. Jax then improvised by hitting Naomi with a light chair shot to the side of her body.

Richards worked for WWE between 1999 and 2008. On The Stevie Richards Show, he questioned the logic behind the steel chair spot:

"This is just, how can I say it?" Richards said. "There's only one word. These girls are bad. They're not good. They have their moments, they can shine within their own element, but when it comes to stuff like this and it breaks down in the ring and you're counting on these girls, or even general talent, male and female, we see it on both sides, to have common sense and safety in mind, they literally freeze." Naomi joined forces with Bayley, Bianca Belair, IYO SKY, and Rhea Ripley at Survivor Series. The babyface quintet defeated Candice LeRae, Liv Morgan, Nia Jax, Raquel Rodriguez, and Tiffany Stratton.

Stevie Richards' advice for Nia Jax

Although Nia Jax began wrestling 10 years ago, Stevie Richards believes the steel chair incident showed she still lacks experience.

The former ECW and WCW wrestler added that the WWE Women's Champion should not hit opponents with steel chairs if she cannot use them correctly:

"I know this is only a five-second clip of the first chair shot, but it should have been avoided," Richards continued. "In other words, if Nia cannot swing a chair properly and safely, knowing not to hit somebody in the head, and the other girl [Naomi] doesn't know to get down on her knees and protect herself from a concussion, then don't pick up the chair." [9:29 – 9:51]

Jax returned to WWE in 2023 after receiving her release in 2021. The 40-year-old won the Queen of the Ring tournament in May before defeating Bayley for the WWE Women's Championship at SummerSlam in August.
