"They get killed for 90% of the match" - Legend calls out WWE over Motor City Machine Guns' booking (Exclusive)

The Motor City Machine Guns are enjoying a fine run as far as wins are concerned in WWE. But, Bill Apter isn't pleased with how they're booked during matches.

Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin created history by becoming WWE Tag Team Champions in only their third match and it happened against the mighty Bloodline.

The legendary tag team has hit the ground running in the WWE as the promotion didn't waste time making them champs. MCMG faced A-Town Down Under on SmackDown this week and Apter was confused to see Shelley and Sabin on the backfoot the entire match.

Bill Apter explained that while winning the tag team belts was commendable, WWE should consider presenting Motor City Machine Guns as a more dominant duo in their matches.

Apter noticed how MCMG would get "killed" for the majority of the bout before getting the win right at the end. After watching their latest effort, Apter was also pretty impressed by what Austin Theory and Grayson Waller brought to the ring.

The veteran journalist shared his thoughts:

"Unfortunately, that's the way I feel a little bit because once again against their opponents here, they worked underneath 90% of that match. What is going on here? The broadcasters are talking, 'Hey, they are so great, they are legends and they are this and they are that.' And they get killed for 90% of the match. I thought Theory and Waller were really, really good. They were really on tonight." [From 17:30 onwards]

Motor City Machine Guns are on an impressive streak but as Apter suggested, it would be better for them to have more control in their matches moving forward.

Their next title defense will happen against The Street Profits and it will surely be MCMG's toughest assignment yet.
