"They were horrible" - The Undertaker reveals his biggest regret in WWE; says it still haunts him 23 years later
The Undertaker has opened up about something he did 13 years ago that he doesn't have a fond memory of. He described it as his biggest regret in WWE.
At Survivor Series 2000, The Deadman challenged Kurt Angle for the WWE Championship. He was portraying his biker gimmick at the time and came out wearing snakeskin pants for the first time. The outfit seemingly looked out of place, and he never wore those pants ever again in the ring after that match.
Speaking to Chris Van Vliet in a recent interview, The Undertaker said it was his choice to wear the snakeskin pants at WWE Survivor Series on November 19, 2000. However, he ended up regretting it and didn't think it was a good idea.
The Hall of Famer added that it still haunts him today, as he sees the photos from the 23-year-old bout occasionally popping up on his social media feed.
“There was a pair of snakeskin pants I wore at a match with Kurt Angle that I really regret. It’s one of my biggest regrets. They were horrible. So the rumor for a long, long time was that I forgot my tights, or I forgot my pants and I had to borrow those from The Godfather. They were mine. Terry Anderson bless her heart, she did all my gear pretty much my whole career. When I told her I wanted a pair of python pants. She went, 'No, you don’t.' I went, 'Yes, I do.' I just thought it would be cool looking. They were snakeskin pants. I’m a biker, [so] it didn’t translate well (...) I see them every once in a while. They’ll pop up on a feed or something." The Undertaker confirms that he'll never wrestle again
The Deadman is one of the biggest superstars in WWE history. He's had a very illustrious career, and many people regard him as one of the greatest performers of all time.
During the same interview, The Undertaker told Chris Van Vliet that he would not come out of retirement.
"I could do it, but I couldn't do it to the standard that I wanted to do it. But I mean, yeah, there are certain things that I don't feel like I would be able to do. But after I did it I came back and I was like, 'I'm good now. I don't need to do this again.' I'm not saying that I wouldn't if they needed something like that again, but I'm not gonna have a match or I'm not coming out of retirement."
The Undertaker's last bout was at WrestleMania 36, where he defeated AJ Styles in a Boneyard Match.
