"They'll get there" - Cody Rhodes says his family members aren't ready to face Jacob Fatu, teases forming his own Bloodline

Cody Rhodes has teased the idea of forming his version of The Bloodline, including his cousins Dalton and Dylan. Cody has already seen two iterations of The Bloodline come after him.

Rhodes and The Bloodline (Anoa'i family) have been feuding for over a year. At WrestleMania 39, he failed to dethrone Roman Reigns and win the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship after interference from Solo Sikoa.

In the lead-up to WrestleMania XL, Rhodes resumed his feud with The Bloodline, including The Rock, who joined the faction. At The Grandest Stage of Them All, Rhodes defeated Reigns to win the Undisputed WWE Championship.

Speaking in an interview with Sports Illustrated, Rhodes claimed that his nephews aren't ready to face Jacob Fatu yet but will eventually be ready.

“In addition to that, behind the curtain are my nephews Dalton and Dylan. They’re close with Dustin, and to see them go from playing around to the point where now I can see it – it’s one of those things where, once you start, you can’t stop. They’re both at the University of Texas, and more than anything, my mom would like them to finish. But I look forward to the decisions they make. They’re not ready to wrestle Jacob Fatu just yet, but they’ll get there," said Rhodes. [H/T - Sports Illustrated]

Rhodes is the reigning Undisputed WWE Champion. At the recently concluded SummerSlam Premium Live Event, he defeated Solo Sikoa to retain his title.

For Rhodes' next title defense, he will face Kevin Owens at Bash in Berlin. The match was made official after last week's edition of WWE SmackDown after Owens saved Rhodes from The Bloodline yet again.
