"They treat him like a jokester" - Ex-employee slams Triple H for treatment of 4-time WWE champion
Former WWE employee Tommy Carlucci slammed Creative, led by Triple H, for their booking of a former Intercontinental Champion. He claimed the company treats the 45-year-old like a jokester.
After almost a decade of absence, Carlito returned to the Stamford-based company last year. Upon his comeback, he joined Rey Mysterio's LWO faction. However, he later turned on the group, attacking Dragon Lee. The four-time champion then moved from SmackDown to RAW where he is now part of The Judgment Day.
On the Behind The Turnbuckle: The Last Word podcast, Tommy Carlucci, who spent over 30 years in WWE, criticized Triple H's booking of Carlito. He pointed out that he believes the veteran is a bigger superstar than his Judgment Day teammate JD McDonagh:
"You know, I really like Carlito. I know you do. I really think Carlito is a bigger superstar than JD McDonagh. I swear to God. I mean, he's been around a million years. They don't give him the rub though, Coach. They treat him like he's a jokester or something. I'd rather see him be a Tag Team Champ with Finn Balor. He'd be more entertaining than JD McDonagh would be any day of the week. But that's not gonna happen. Maybe they see something in JD that I'm not seeing," he said. [15:42 - 16:11]
WWE Hall of Famer praised Carlito's work with The Judgment Day
On the Busted Open podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray previously praised Carlito's work with The Judgment Day, stating that the 45-year-old was "freaking entertaining."
The wrestling legend compared the former Intercontinental Champion's work to Chelsea Green's:
"I want to compare him to Chelsea Green, meaning he's not getting a lot of stuff to do, but the stuff that Carlito's getting, he's knocking it out of the park," Ray said.
Last night on RAW, Carlito teamed up with Dominik Mysterio against The War Raiders. However, he and his Judgment Day teammate lost.
