"Things can still happen" - Dominik Mysterio hints at a possible massive change in WWE
WWE Superstar Dominik Mysterio recently made a bold statement about the love triangle storyline he's currently involved in. The former NXT North American Champion hinted at possibly adopting a more aggressive and provocative approach in his controversial storyline, drawing inspiration from the edgy tone of the legendary Attitude Era.
Dirty Dom and Rhea Ripley had been portrayed as a romantic pair on-screen. However, at the 2024 SummerSlam, their relationship took a dramatic turn. The 27-year-old male star betrayed Mami, by aiding Liv Morgan in retaining the Women's World Championship.
Following the match, Daddy Dom and his Güerita shared a passionate kiss, leaving Ripley devastated. The promos featuring the love triangle of Morgan, Mysterio, and The Nightmare have a more mature and provocative tone, even though WWE content is generally PG-rated.
In an interview with the New York Post, Dominik Mysterio discussed the current state of the Sports Entertainment juggernaut and the fan desire for a return to the explicit, provocative style of the Attitude Era. The Judgment Day member acknowledged that while WWE might not be as explicit as before, the subtle hints and innuendos are enough to keep fans interested in the possibility of more extreme content returning:
"People still want that edginess we would get back in the Attitude Era but the innuendos and the little things here and there (we do) is more than enough because people want to keep tuning back in to see if we do ever cross that and see if does happen. Maybe it will, maybe it won’t. Things can still happen. We’ll see what the future holds," he said. [H/T - New York Post]
Liv Morgan claims a WWE legend is jealous of Dominik Mysterio
At the 2024 Bash in Berlin, The Miracle Kid and Daddy Dom will go head-to-head against the Terror Twin (Priest & Ripley), in a Mixed Tag Team match.
During the recent Kickoff show, Liv Morgan surprised the legendary Michael Cole after he concluded the couple's introduction. The WWE Women's World Champion claimed that Michael Cole and the audience were envious of the 27-year-old star:
"I think I know what it is. It's because you're jealous of Dominik [Mysterio] just like all of you are jealous of Dominik," Morgan said.
