Third-generation star to face Cody Rhodes for the title at WrestleMania 41, predicts WWE analyst

Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes has different types of opponents on the roster to eventually come after him for the title. Meanwhile, Sam Robert predicted a blockbuster encounter between Rhodes and Randy Orton for the title in Las Vegas.

Earlier this year, Randy Orton (Grandson of Bob Orton and son of Bob Orton Jr.) was one of the few names who appeared at WrestleMania XL and celebrated with Cody Rhodes and his family inside the squared circle. However, fans have longed for a match between the former student and mentor, and Sam Roberts believes it could happen in Las Vegas.

In an appearance on Busted Open, the WWE analyst stated if The Rock doesn't return to the company for WrestleMania 41, management can book a match between Rhodes and Orton for the Undisputed WWE Championship at The Showcase of the Immortals in Las Vegas.

"I see it everywhere and people are talking about Cody Rhodes vs. Randy Orton. Cody-Randy match has been talked about since Randy came back. That's the match people have been talking about. Maybe WrestleMania is the spot to do it," Roberts said. [20:30 - 20:50]

Cody Rhodes recently teamed up with Randy Orton on WWE SmackDown

Earlier this year, Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton crossed paths on Friday Night SmackDown as both were on the same brand. The Viper agreed to have The American Nightmare's back on the brand against The Bloodline.

Later, the two teamed up on different occasions alongside Kevin Owens to take out the villainous faction. However, it's been years since the two were in a traditional tag team match in the Stamford-based promotion.
