Tommaso Ciampa reveals new names for DIY following heel turn on WWE SmackDown

DIY is once again your new WWE Tag Team Champions. Friday's SmackDown saw Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano capture gold with a big swerve. Gargano's latest heel turn is the talk of the wrestling world, and now Ciampa has revealed new monikers for the team, while his partner laughs at their critics.

Blackheart and Johnny Wrestling dethroned The Motor City Machine Guns of the WWE Tag Team Championship on Friday's SmackDown in Minneapolis. After a planned ruse that saw Gargano turn heel, DIY defeated Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley in a rematch from October. The new champions hit Sabin with Meet in the Middle to win the titles in 10 minutes.

WWE cameras caught up with DIY while they were heading to the back at SmackDown. Gargano touted the swerve and laughed in the face of their critics.

"Best tag team in the world! Whatever it takes, that's what we said! Huh? [points to his own head] Just listen to me, just listen to me. Where is he at? There he is, there's my best friend. There's my best friend! Two-time, two-time! [laughs]," Johnny Gargano said.

Ciampa was rabid as he caught up with Gargano and the cameraman. The 39-year-old declared his tag team partner to be a genius, then revealed a new nickname for the DIY duo: The Mastermind and The Madman.

"The boy's a genius, the boy is a genius! I'm The Madman, he's The Mastermind... DIY. Best damn tag team alive," Tommaso Ciampa said.

DIY is now in its second reign as WWE Tag Team Champions. Ciampa and Gargano dethroned A-Town Down Under back on July 5 during SmackDown, but the reign ended 84 days later at the hands of The Bloodline's Jacob Fatu and Tama Tonga.
