Top duo becomes champions in WWE after 1792 days in RAW main event
Monday Night RAW on December 16 ended with a bang: a title change for a top duo after 1792 days. Although the finish was chaotic, it was a highly deserved title win.
Monday Night RAW revolved around a few storylines, primarily Seth Rollins and CM Punk. However, the advertised main event was a World Tag Team Championship match between The Judgment Day and The War Raiders. Their last match ended controversially with an interference, resulting in The Judgment Day winning the match.
However, the wrath of Damian Priest directly led to Finn Balor getting pinned as The War Raiders became World Tag Team Champions. The last time they held the Tag Team Titles was in 2019-2020 - losing their RAW Tag Championship on January 20 before the pandemic took full swing.
This means that they are champions after a whopping 1,792 days.
It's incredible to think that it has been this long since they won the titles - but they only seem to be having their resurgence now. The change to the name "War Raiders" was a huge step forward, as it was the name by which they became famous outside of WWE.
They've also been getting increasingly positive reactions and unleashing a more ruthless side of themselves - something many expected them to do for years.
It has finally culminated, so the Sportskeeda community wishes Erik and Ivar a hearty congratulations.
