Top star broke character due to Roman Reigns' segment on SmackDown, says WWE veteran

Roman Reigns looked to achieve a lot on the latest edition of SmackDown. However, the final segment of the show may have made a top star break character, according to a WWE veteran. That would be Vince Russo.

Jey Uso headed over to SmackDown to confront Solo Sikoa and talk about his relationship with his twin brother, Jimmy Uso. However, he made it clear that he wanted to do nothing with Reigns and his Bloodline. Later in the night, Jey crossed paths with Jimmy and received a compliment from Roman after a long time. However, The Yeet Master was not interested in what The Original Tribal Chief had to say.

In the final segment of the show, The Bloodline, which consists of Solo, Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and Jacob Fatu, dragged out a bruised and battered Jimmy Uso. This led Reigns to try and fight off Sikoa and his men, but he too was taken down by the numbers game.

While speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling's BroDown podcast, Vince Russo stated that the segment had a major flaw. It looked like Jey was in the building, but he did not step out to help his brother against the heels even though he is one of WWE's biggest babyfaces:

"So, Jey's in the building. Four guys drag out his flesh and blood. His brother, Jimmy. They drag out Jimmy."

The 63-year-old veteran went on to add that the entire segment made Jey Uso look like a heel. This was because he refused to come out and help his twin brother, Jimmy Uso, and also his cousin, Roman Reigns.

"You're gonna tell me that blood isn't gonna overcome all? You know if Jey is in the back watching them drag out his brother, guess what Mac (the host), now Jey is a heel. Now, you have made Jey a heel. He's at the back watching his brother get his a** kicked on the monitor and not helping him," Vince Russo concluded by saying that prolonging the storyline of Jey Uso not caring has made him a heel on television.

It is unclear whether Jey Uso was on his way out of the building when he came across Jimmy Uso and Roman Reigns. However, the segment did make it seem like The Yeet Master did not care for his brother if he was present at the venue.

Roman Reigns will likely work hard to win Jey Uso's trust before WWE Survivor Series: WarGames 2024

It was unlikely to see Roman Reigns praise Jey Uso and acknowledge that he was proud of the latter. It showed that The Head of the Table has truly turned babyface and needs help against Solo Sikoa's Bloodline.

Later on in the show, Reigns and Jimmy Uso were attacked by Sikoa and his teammates. While The Original Tribal Chief looked strong at first, it was the numbers game that truly got to him.

WWE fans could see Roman make an appearance on RAW in hopes of convincing Jey Uso to join his side. It would be the perfect way to get The Yeet Master back in the team and also potentially bring Sami Zayn back to the group.
