Top star replaced in title match before huge wrestling event
A top star was replaced at the last moment before a huge wrestling event. The star who replaced him has now been revealed.
At TNA IMPACT, Matt Cardona revealed that he was still not fit enough to be wrestling in his championship match against PCO. However, he said that PCO would not be without an opponent at TNA Emergence. Cardona informed Santino Marella that he would be replaced by his Monster, that he was tagging in for the event. The identity of the monster was not revealed at the show, but later turned out to be Mahabali Shera.
When it finally came time to reveal the identity of the monster at Emergence, it turned out to be none other than The Indian Lion, Mahabali Shera. The star emerged to face PCO in a match for the Digital Media and International Heavyweight Championships.
Before PCO was even finished being introduced for the wrestling match though, the two got into a brawl, with it spreading to the floor near Steph De Lander, who was out to support PCO. The star hit Shera with a Swanton on the outside and back in the ring and hit the Moonsault to win the match.
He celebrated the victory with his two titles and De Lander after the match. It remains to be seen if Cardona can get a title shot in the future.
