Top WWE faction splitting following title change on RAW's debut on Netflix is possible, says Sam Roberts
WWE RAW's premiere episode on Netflix will feature a massive championship match. WWE analyst Sam Roberts suggested the square-off could lead a top faction to split.
Rhea Ripley has tried to recapture the Women's World Championship from Liv Morgan since her return from injury earlier this year. However, she has failed to accomplish the mission so far. On RAW's Netflix debut, The Eradicator will have another chance to end her arch-rival's title reign. On his Notsam Wrestling podcast, Roberts predicted that Ripley would leave the Intuit Dome with the championship.
Meanwhile, the 41-year-old claimed The Eradicator's victory could lead The Judgment Day to split.
"So, this really feels like a declarative winner and we use this to move on to wherever we're going next with both of those characters. And with the way Judgment Day is kinda falling apart, I would not be surprised to see Liv Morgan lose the Women's World Championship to Rhea Ripley on that first episode of RAW and then have The Judgment Day kind of collapse around that fact," he said.
The WWE analyst pointed out that he would like to see Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez, and Dominik Mysterio remain together despite the faction potentially dissolving.
"I would kind of argue that you should keep, because the way it's panned out, you can keep Raquel, Liv, and Dom together and have, you know, Carlito over doing whatever Carlito is gonna do and Finn and JD kind of split up. You can still split The Judgment Day and keep that trio together. I do, I really want that trio to stay together." [From 10:14 - 11:07]
Can Liv Morgan retain her title on WWE RAW?
While Sam Roberts believed Liv Morgan's Women's World Championship reign would come to an end on the premiere episode of WWE RAW on Netflix, the Judgment Day member didn't seem worried about facing Rhea Ripley.
The 30-year-old recently took to X (fka Twitter) to claim that she would prove that she is the greatest Women's World Champion in history come January 6.
"On January 6th, I prove that I am the GREATEST Women’s World Champion of alllllllll time [face throwing a kiss emoji] @netflix," Morgan wrote.
The Judgment Day's Finn Balor and JD McDonagh recently lost the World Tag Team Championship to The War Raiders. It would be interesting to see if Morgan can avoid the fate of her teammates when she defends her title against Ripley.
