Top WWE heel breaks character to praise two former rivals; hopes to win first-ever singles title soon
A top WWE heel recently broke kayfabe to appreciate two of his former opponents. He also discussed the prospect of winning his first major singles title in the company.
The name in question is none other than Chad Gable. Before WrestleMania XL, the American Made leader challenged Gunther for the Intercontinental Title multiple times but was unsuccessful. Later, the former WWE RAW Tag Team Champion played a crucial role in preparing Sami Zayn for his Intercontinental Championship match against The Ring General at The Show of Shows.
On the April 15 edition of RAW, Master Gable shockingly turned heel, attacking The Master Strategist after failing to capture the IC Title. In a recent interview with Chris Van Vliet on INSIGHT, the 38-year-old said he aspired to win a singles championship. Chad Gable also broke character to commend WWE Superstars Gunther and Sami Zayn for elevating his performance.
"I've come so close so many times, the Gunther stuff, what it did for my career, what Gunther did for my career can't be overstated. I have him to thank for so much the way he elevated me. Then moving on to the stuff with Sami, from a storytelling perspective alongside the in-ring perspective, we got so much accomplished in such a short amount of time," Gable said. (H/T: CVV)
Despite being engrossed in a feud with The Wyatt Sicks and the Alpha Academy storyline, Master Gable emphasized that his pursuit of a singles title was his top priority.
"So we've got one piece of the puzzle left to fill in, and I'm almost happy it didn't happen then, because of what we got done there. It didn't need it. I didn't need it. But now I do and so now it's still on the table," he added. (H/T: CVV)

Chad Gable comments on being compared to a WWE Hall of Famer
Chad Gable recently expressed his gratitude for being compared to WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle.
During the same conversation with Chris Van Vliet, Chad Gable discussed the comparisons drawn between himself and the former World Heavyweight Champion, particularly highlighting Angle's intense "Perc" phase.
"I mean, what an honor. First of all, it's so funny when that stuff started coming out because I'm like, 'Oh, here we go, now we're cooking' (...) And it just worked out really well. But all that to say like Kurt is the man, dude, he's been so cool throughout everything we've done with him. I got to wrestle him, which was insane," Gable said. (H/T: CVV)
The 38-year-old WWE star parted ways with Otis, Akira Tozawa, and Maxxine Dupri only to form American Made alongside The Creed Brothers and Ivy Nile.
This week on Monday Night RAW, Brutus and Julius Creed defeated the Alpha Academy in a Texas Tornado match. It remains uncertain which WWE title Chad Gable will pursue next.
