Top WWE star interfering in Roman Reigns & Cody Rhodes vs. The Bloodline is possible, says ex-host
Roman Reigns will team up with the Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes to fight The Bloodline's Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu at Bad Blood. An ex-WWE host suggested a former champion could interfere in the square-off.
The American Nightmare unexpectedly accepted to join forces with his former rival, the Original Tribal Chief, in his battle against The Bloodline. Rhodes' decision did not sit well with his friend, Kevin Owens, who has been vocal about disliking the Undisputed WWE Champion's alliance with Reigns. Nevertheless, former RAW Talk host Matt Camp recently suggested Owens could interfere to help Rhodes at Bad Blood.
Speaking on the Busted Open podcast, Camp pointed out that instead of Owens immediately turning on Rhodes, he could continue to have his back and drag the story between them for several months:
"He could continue to say I'll have your back. And if he has his back, perhaps, Denise, that at Bad Blood next weekend he ends up getting involved in the match. Let's say Cody and Roman win and there's a four-on-two after the fight and Kevin comes out to save them. And he comes out to save Cody but as a result, he also saves Roman. And then he has to deal with that. And then maybe there has to be a conversation between Cody and Kevin of, 'Hey, you were out there. You save us.' 'No, I saved you. I would never save him.' And you continue to build on that story," he said. [From 20:12 to 20:52]
Vince Russo predicted Kevin Owens' future in WWE
Kevin Owens had one world championship reign in late 2016 and early 2017 when he held the Universal Championship. He recently challenged Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship but came up short.
Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling's BroDown on Backstage Pass, former head writer Vince Russo predicted that Owens would never have another run at the top:
"Trust me, bro, Kevin Owens has had his run, they're not going back to the Kevin Owens well. I promise you that." [From 6:38 onwards]
Many are currently expecting Owens to turn on Rhodes, leading to a heated feud between the two friends. It would be interesting to see if that would happen soon.
